Hello Janne,
You will find alot of information about body language in the Psychology section of most book stores. I studied "Body Language" in college prior to becoming a therapist. There were books written just on that subject. Since retiring, I have disposed of most of my college books so can't help you there.

Hello I would advice this book :
Modelling and Sculpting the Human Figure
by Edouard Lanteri
Wich you can find on amazone.com
This is really a great book for sculpting.

Lanteri's book is very good for the classical sculpting approach but it's heavy on written explanations (as are his others) as you'd expect from something first published a century ago. Bruno Lucchesi's books I also highly recommend and they're a lot more accessible, although they show an approach which isn't directly applicable in small scales the step-by-step photos are excellent inspiration.

There are many good drawing books that should help, some of my favourites are by Giovanni Civardi. Some other authors to look for are Joseph Sheppard, Anthony Ryder and Burne Hogarth, although his drawings are a lot more stylised.

Good secondhand copies of these are often available through Abebooks.com.

Thank you all, figureteers!

I have now placed an order for no less than three books.

An Atlas of animal anatomy for artists by Wilhelm Ellenberger.

Modelling and sculpting the human form by Edouard Lanteri.

The artists complet guide to facial expression by Gary Faigin.

There were many others that were intresting among the one youve recomended but Ive chosen these three to start with.

Cheers

You've made a great choice. Some parts of lanterri's book can be forgotten in the beginning as they deal with low relief, but the part explaining the sculpture from the mannequin is absolutely a must... (y)
