Wow is a very good figure, I would love to have it ...... only would put an objection, I think the document pocket is a little small.

Congratulations on this work.

I'd like to make a comment here, the map case appears too short and is also missing the bits for pens/pencils. But the bit that I'm unsure about is the angle of the SS runes and rank patches, are these correct? Otherwise I love it and the painting is top class. :)

Very nice work, both sculpting and painting.

Mike,
Best of luck to you in your new endeavor!

I keep my all my old 1/9 warriors figures as a treasure.......
I have them in the box , not painted yet , almost all of the figures that were produced.
Lately I see a tendency towards 1/9 scale full figures from various sources and I have to express my admiration because probably this is one of the best sculpted figures in this scale where every detail counts .
The painting from Kaz is superb -as always- .
I suggest that a new forum for large scale figures must be established in pf.
The reason is that in this scale the painting/ shading is done in a different way than smaller scales and also I see that more and more pf friends express an interest in these models , like myself.
There is so much potential in this scale.......
Mike once again , you are the Michelangello of figure modelling! Well done and I hope that you will give us more figures like this in the bear future!

As I have already expressed, this is truly superb.
I don't see any need for a large scale section, where would this stop, a section for all scales.
Busts would also have to be added as they are large scale and my fear is dominance of particular era which would affect important viewing traffic for the equally important but less modelled subjects.
Not meaning to derail, I can gladly view this piece and painting all day :)
Excellent

Great to see this big guy announced to the world now Mike, sculpting doesn't come any cleaner than this, superb work and cannot wait to see what is next :)
All the best
Steve

I can see your point and you probably you are right. My point was that in larger scales the techniques are a bit different from the ''small scales'' and maybe this forum could attract those of us who are dealing with this scale.
Anyway this is a great site and definitely one can find everything........thank you for taking the time to answer .

Many thanks to everybody for their enthusiastic comments! This figure was a real labor of love for me. I tried to put my best efforts into it. Sadly, I used a map-case casting from my stash for measurements, since I had no other dimensions to work from. Of course, I chose one that was significantly under size. This is a very embarrassing way to discover that I made a mistake!

I am now making a new map-case for the figure to replace the too-small one. The pre-production kits at MFCA will have the original map-case but I will take down addresses so that I can send the newer replacement piece when they are ready. My apologies for this hiccup!

When the figure becomes available from The Model Cellar (later in the year - at which time another announcement will be made) the price will be $110. The special show price at MFCA show (next weekend) will be $100.

Thanks again to everybody for the kind comments. It is good to know that I still have fans!

All the best to one and all!

Mike Good
