Hi Folks

This is my first figure that I have completed since my house move in October,
Bosnian Lancers Officer - Prussia 1762 by Romeo models. Its 54mm in scale. I have painted the coat in oils but the rest is painted in acrylics which is something I am still struggling with! Any comments good or bad most welcome.:D

Sorry for the not so good photos, still not set up yet for this:confused:

Cheers
Tommi

Very nice Tommi,

I particularly like the flag and the coat. Did you lighten with Payne's Gray or what?

Good for you to be back to painting.... best stress (from moving or what ever else) reliever that I know of!

The pictures seem a bit over-exposed unfortunately, but I like it Tommi!
Those Bosnians have quite the typical dress.

Good luck with ramping up production after your moving house.

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi Kevin
I used Payne’s grey straight from the tube and highlighted with flesh and white, I mixed black with the Payne’s grey for the shadow and added more black for the deepest shadow.

A very excellent work.
A smooth gradation of a coat is wonderful.
The facial expression is also cool.
The ground work is also very skilful.
I think a wonderful masterpiece.
I congratulate completion.

Hi Tommi,
this figure is growing on me,yours is the 5th I've seen painted all very well done, nice to see your finding the time after your move to pick up the brush, whats more to this standard! top notch.....
Best Regards of the season.
Paul

Excellent work on an excellent piece.

The color of the tree is too close to the grey of stones - personal opinion - I would have added some burnt umber, pale ochre touches here and there for more differentiation from the stones for instance.
