The East Coast Figure Artists Club will meet next on Nov. 28th at The Hobby Bunker in Malden, MA from 2pm to 5pm. Whether you are an accomplished model builder, novice or are simply interested in learning more about historical and garage kit figures/miniatures of every subject, you will feel welcome with our friendly crew.

On Oct. 24th our group set up a club display table at The Toy Soldier Show in Burlington, MA. We ran a free-hands on demonstration table there giving children and adults the chance to learn how to piant figures and take them home. (If we don't take the time to introduce our art to young people, our hobby will likely fade out going forward.) The event was recieved very positively and we had people painting all day. Contact me if you would enjoy being a part of events like this one in the future.

Ken, the owner of Badger AirBrush Co. has generously offered everyone on the East Coast Figure Artists e-mailing list (as well as members of this forum) 41% off all merchandise at their www.webairbrushes.com site. Use the password robbutler1 to receive this discount. Thank you Ken!

For you New England based figure modelers, I would enjoy seeing you at our next meeting. Bring your latest masterpieces, works in progress, unbuilt kits and miniature/modeling related tools/materials that might be helpful to others. If you have figures to sell, we'll run our yard sale around 4pm after show and tell. Bring a friend to our" Group Therapy Session!"

Still no dues or politics!

Best.

So true (y). I think it's awesome that there is a club in Boston. I was wondering if there was one back when World Expo was there. How long have you guys been meeting?

Rob's a friend of mine and I don't think he stops by often so I'll answer for him. The group first came together early in the decade and was primarily a garage/fantasy group. There were some superb painters involbved in it and they routinely cleaned up in their categories at the local IPMS style shows. It seems to have disbanded after a couple years. About two years ago, Rob hooked up with The Hobby Bunker just north of Boston and got a site to hold his meetings every other month and chose to use the same name as the previous group. From what he describes, it is a very informal and social group.
