This "older woman" thing depends on your point of view, to a 16 year old boy, an older woman is likely to be in her mid 30's ang gorgeous, at my age, an older woman is likely to be Peggy Mount and frightening! Another famous woman, Helen of Troy, known as "the Face that Launched a Thousand Ships" was also said to be older. Mind you, since they didn't have any champagne bottles to smash into them, i suppose she would be a bit battered

You are not wrong
images
, reminds me when I fought with her ...no really !!!! not sure about her actual age but reckon this is a beautiful piece of work that hair is awesome for sure and the painting really fine work especially on the patterned cloak , rather pretty face as well IMO

Nap
P.S. I now have to cope with the mental image of Nap in toga and sandals:eek::nailbiting:

You are right Martyn, I should have mentioned the source.

The photos of the painted bust were taken by Martyn Dorey at Euromilitaite 2014 and were posted at his facebook page.

Not my period but I absolutely fell in love at Euromilitaire, despite usually hating busts!
The sculpt looked even better in the flesh and the paint job looked much better at the show - probably a photographic problem - but here comes the but -
This is not my period but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that contemporary eyewitnesses described Boudicca as yellow haired?
Not of course, that she has to be painted as boudicca!
