Finally finished her off.
Was an interesting project with some unique challanges for me.
Thre were some issues fitting the components together after painting and I had to extend the cape to cover massive gaps on the left arm. Interestingly, the cover art on the box is shown post resculpting in this area too (I'm not sure thats fair).

As I have said in an earlier post, the tartan is a Decal I created especially for this model although I think the final effect looks fairly realistic if I did her again I'd do it a tad lighter as the weathering and shading darkened it up a fair bit.

I was 50/50 on the idea of adding battle gore to her and may do so later after trying out the technique on an easier model.

Hi Peter,

Great to see this piece finished. The tartan decal looks great and I'm sure its a technique many others will copy.

I'm also impressed with your groundwork.

My one concern is the lipstick lips. It looks like she's off to a club for a night of dancing, not chasing the Romans through the woods and fields of England.

Very nicely painted Peter. I like the cloak very much. The red hair looks a bit shiny but that is no doubt due to the camera shot. I also have this problem when taking pics sometimes.

You never know. The Romans lavished much praise on how good looking the Celts were/are, and Roman women endeavoured to look like them by, among other things, coloring their hair with henna.

If Boudicca looked half as good as this depiction, with a lot of Celtic heritage myself, I might have followed her into battle as well. ;)
