The paint job isn't that bad.I blame the digital camera for a lot of the problem ,as in the hobby now, close ups are the norm. It's getting to the stage now ,that you can just about see up a busts left nostril.
What i'm trying to say,is a figure/bust,should be judged on it's appearance with the naked eye, although magnification may be used to paint it,but not to judge it.14 inches is about right for viewing distance
I've had the pleasure of seeing Bill Horan's figures ,and they are brilliant, but if you've ever seen them on the front cover of Figurine magazine, blown up to A4 size, you'ld get a surprise,as you can see all the workings of the figures paint job, which doesn't do them any justice. They were not meant to be shown so close up.
There's a trend just now, with some of the top gun painters,to paint very minute detail to perfection, which is brilliant, but can think of a few who paint beautiful stuff with a more artistic and realistic style. They both, in their own right, are deserve to be recognised.

I was going to order this off Art Girona's website and it came up as 84,10 euros for shipping. That's crazy unless something is wrong with their checkout system.I emptied my cart in a hurry.

I apologize for my unhappy comment about the painting of this vignette. I'm a great fan of zapatero and I was disappointed of the box art that I suppose is painted by a top painter. But I'd had thought just a few seconds before send the post...I'm really sorry. I 'd never comment the job of an enthusiat painter (as I am ...) the way I've done.
Crazy the way it came up,
180 euros
-18 for discount
84,10 shipping
sub-total 203,38 excluding tax
42,72 tax
total 246,10
I think I better wait and see if the Red Lancers get it.
