Hi Vladi,

the M23 Huey weapon station looks fantastic and very detailed. It´s a great improvement to the old Dragon one and hopefully there will be two of this in the box to arm both sides of the Huey ;-). Can´t wait to see the Crew. I think this will be awsome.

For the Figure i am ambivalent about this one. I like the pose and combination with the boonie hat a lot but personelly i had preferred a tropical jungle jacket with Long sleeves instead of an T-Shirt to use this Figure for nearly all kind of service, just an personel view ;-).

For the neutral ;-) Modeller view this is an fantastic Figure with great Details and good research. The pose is great done and really Shows the Action. Another great Figure Vladi. I think the Chopper Crew and the M23 weapon System will be an must have item for many modellers.

Thnaks for the great news

Bye, bye

Stefan

With your crew I want a Huey with all the doors open (or without doors), also for the pilots! :)
I'm sorry that Dragon has the doors closed. :(

Bravo!

Fantastic figure as usually...i like so much ,as i wrote you with email,......about the shirt, i have the same idea of Stefan...i preferred tropical jungle jacket...to have the possibility to trasform better them......but i like it however, and i ll buy at least a pair as usually.

Congratulations.

Mario from italy,

Hi Vladi,

sounds like there will be more Figure in this series?! That would be pretty cool.

The Figure with T-Shirt looks great, no question. Please don´t take it as critic from me or Mario with the jungle Jacket ;).

Every Figure is most welcome from you and i will buy for sure two of this one.

@Mac: You are so right about the closed doors of the Dragon huey . I have only the old Revell Huey and it was terrible work to cut out the small cargo doors behind the pilot. The Dragon kit has these doors removed already but the Pilot/co-Pilot doors are one Piece with the hull. Why in hell they don´t make all doors separate?! The good think is we will get an fantastic Crew from Vladi and the M23 Weapon system. For detailing the Dragon huey CMK kits has some fine Resin conversion sets.

Go on with that great work Vladi (y)(y)(y)

Bye, bye

Stefan

Nice Pictures from both of you ;-).

Your Loach Looks great with that open engine cover. Really nice Model. It´s the "Miss Clawd IV" from Capt. Hugh Mills. Great build Mac.
I love this kit and it is really good one OOB. I have the Eduard PE set for the Loach and it really add a lots of Detail to the Cockpit and some other parts.

Bye, bye

A question for the experts: was the uniform used by the us navy pibber crews the same as army soldiers, tankers etc?

Hi Sgt. Red,

the PBR´s were from the navy (USN Patrol Boats). Patrol Boat River (also referred to as Riverine and Pibber) or PBR, is the US Navy designation for a type of rigid-hulled patrol boat used in the Vietnam War.

Also the Army had one Unit in Vietnam. Like i know they wore the same Uniforms like all other (Army, USMC etc). The Tropical combat Uniform was Standard for all Kind of Troops. In the early days the USMC had their own old style Uniforms but also changed to the TCU.

The PBR Units had their own unit signs. Next to the Tropical Uniform they wear also black berets, camo berets, helmets , T-Shirts and Body Armour vest were common. Also Shorts and sandals on boat were seen. As "Standard" in Combat operations i would say they were the Tropical combat Uniform, jungle boots, helmet without cover and a Body armour vest.

This is an nice site with good Information and unit signs:

Here are some nice Videos from the Brwon Water navy:

Hope this helps
