Work in progress,
75mm British infantryman from Stormtroopers.
I'm painting this as 12th regt of foot(Suffolk) Battle of Minden 1st August 1759.
Painted in acrylics so far. IMG_20220309_184054318~2-01.jpeg Soldier_of_12th_regiment_1742.jpg

Super stuff so far Bob. Remember a David Grieve foot figure from that period with a rose in the hat -don’t know whether that was something worn by regiments who served at Minden. What are your horticultural skills like?

Super figure; great painting so far. Going on my list.

Love the reds, I never got the hang of doing a nice red but you have done a great job here.

Steve

Thank you all for the comments, the reds are from Vallejo red set with some scale 75 tube paint.
Neal yes Grieve did a figure from this period two if I remember correctly one was a grenadier in a mitre cap. There a a few regiment's to this day who wear the Minden rose on 1 Aug, my old regiment being one. It was because troops during or after the battle picked rose's and wore them in there hats..
Thank you all again
Regards

Thanks Kev, yes I'm in heaven and some more are coming.

Beautiful work my friend! I also really love the groundwork. It sets off the figure nicely. :)

Cheers,
Ken

Lovely paintwork Bob, and a nice base to set it off.

Ken, thank you very much, the ground work turned out very well, really chuffed.

Henk, thank you, I am very pleased so far. A little way to go to finish.
