Hello all

Here are some early in progress pictures of this 65mm resin casting by Wars and peaces miniatures. Almost no cleaning up and a wonderful sculpt.
Only downside is that it comes with only some written instruction. They do have a picture of a finished figure by David Lane on their website. Should anyone know of a website where pictures of the real stuff can be found, please let me know.
All's done with acrylics, among which the new Xpress paint by Vallejo, and these are great!

Should something be painted in a wrong color, or if you can give me tips on how to improve my painting, please let me know; All help is welcome!

Gino.

Hi guys,

Thank you very much for your nice comments. Faces are the most fun to paint I find. I do have a lot of figures on which I've painted the faces and then lost interest because I saw another face to paint. And this way I'll get about one figure a year finnished.

On all the pics the goatskin seems to be more black and the leaves white, just the opposite as how I painted it. Do I have to repaint the goatsking or is my version as a version that could have been used.

Thanks for all the comments and help. I hope to post some more wip soon, then maybe I have finnished two figures already this year. The first figure? I'll show it after the 2nd of june.

Take care,

Gino.

P.S. I have now seen on the b&w pictures that there was a lot of variation, so I don't have to repaint this.:D

Fantastic start Gino, love how you've done the goatskin, lots of variety as you found so you can't be wrong however it's painted. Great face, it looks well lived in as I imagine it would being in the trenches.

Cheers Simon

He looks great, really like how you've weathered his uniform and gear but very impressed with the dirty face, love it.

Cheers Simon

Hi Gino
