Hello! My English is a mix of what I remember from primary school + Google Translator-sorry :) I ordered five 54mm figurines from EK Castings from Siberia Miniatures shop. I am satisfied with both the quality of the figures and the store's service. First on the bench is Brunswick hornist. I hope you like it.
Cheers Przebor

Nice work on the face, the green trim looks just right. I see what you mean, I have been hunting pots of paint today that turned up in my little monsters doll carry cot! And she's back tomorrow, Aaargh. Enjoy the joy only a child can bring.

Cheers Simon

Children cause destruction :) I wish you a lot of patience, Simon! I will still work on the face and the rest. I don't know what shade of gray to use for the uniform.

Hope this helps think you have Two shades of Grey colours in the Two different Brunswick units - Compagnies légères and Gelernte Jägers

Thanks Waterlooman. This photo explains a lot. I need to use a lighter shade of gray, maybe Basalt Gray from Vallejo as a base.

I am coming late to this thread - I might add that the units called Compagnies légères were the volunteer detachments that fought in the role of Light Infantry wearing black uniforms while the grey clad units were formed from huntsmen - in a way an elite formation with special skills (sharpshooters) - comparable to the British Rifles.

Cheers, Martin
