having trouble coming up with a good "buff" mixture. for an american revolution soldier`s britches. anyone have any good "mixes" to come up with an accurate buff color? thank you, bill
 
I think Vallejo German camo beige 103, would give you a good base to work up and down from.

If you have the paints, the simplest way of mixing a classic buff is Burnt Umber + white.

I believe the buff you're looking for was a little yellower than this (?) though, but that's no problem - just adding in a dot of Yellow Ochre or something similar should work fine.

If you have to mix the colour 'from scratch':
lots of white;
a fair bit of yellow;
a little red;
a dot of black.

einion, that combo worked just fine! the yellow ochre seemed to work best for this application. thank you, bill
