This is the last figure finished for me. It´s a bust in 1:10 scale depicting a British private in 71st Regiment of Foot (Highland Light Infantry) c. 1825. Shown along with other figures, the last weekend in Leganes Contest (Madrid)

I used the plates of the wonderful book "The thin red line" for inspiration.

Soon, this bust will be painted by the great Spanish painter Gustavo Gil.

I hope you like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards from Spain.

That looks really nice, I like this form of bust the most with just enough of the chest and arms to frame the face. Not sure about those nicks in the edges of the crossbelts, they look contrived, but everything else looks good.

P.S. One thing on the diced band, I think these were knitted (not sure if always) and if so they'd have a pronounced texture.

Like it a lot....but why 1825? I guess there are some who like these out of the way periods but as far as I recall there wan't much happening in the period after Waterloo and before the major colonial conflicts kicked in. The year would take it off my potential purchase list irrespective of quality.

What a great pity Antonio. I'm sure that had it been commercial it would have been one of the years most popular busts.
Cheers
