Chaps (and chapesses). I have a dear friend who served during the final few weeks of the war in the 3rd carabiniers (Prince of Wales' Own Dragoon Guards) as a young 17 1/2 yr old subaltern (He fibbed about his age). I'm sure he won't mind my mentioning that he was blown up commanding a Daimler scout car, was shipped back to hospital in Britain via the Americans and thus missed out on qualifying for some of his medals.
I would like to convert Young's 1/10th RTR figure but need a suitably scaled Regimental cap badge for 3DG.
Can any of you help? Costs are not a major issue as this will be a gift for him once painted and mounted.
