Capt. Smith, RMS Titanic

I was offered this 1/10th bust of Capt. Smith of the ill-fated Titanic, and I just could not say no as I had family who sailed on the Titanic.
Sadly the Father died, but the Mother and daughter survived and was picked up by the "Carpathia"

Painted in my usual Artist's Oils for the flesh and acrylics for the rest.

Captain Smith was born in Hanley, Stoke on Trent - when the town was presented with a statue of him, the council refused to erect it and it now stands in Lichfield........

Very nicely painted bust of an iconic captain of the ill fated Titanic maiden voyage. I have one of these myself and have to say that it is sculpted by the very talented and too modest to say so....our very own Nap Peart and Jimbo.
