Many thanks Tony and Bob, I'm pleased with him just have to wait for the Artist's oils to dry on the pipe bowl then I can glue it on the stem in his mouth, then paint the underside and pedestal black and he's finished.

Geoff

Great job Geoff! I just wish I were half as productive as you. :)

Well done,
Ken

Thanks Guys, the pipe might be later this evening, but it's my good ladies birthday so it is her day to have attention given, don't tell but 70 today.

Superb piece Geoff, great paintwork.
I am really drawn to that, dare I say Rembrandtish, weather beaten face. well done.
I noticed that you finished the top of his cap rifle green. I have this figure in prep on the bench and would have finished the top navy blue. Can I ask where you found this gem of information Mate? I don't want another "you missed that" comments.
As with all your stuff I like your work here.
Cheers Keith

Many thanks Keith, I was going to do it dark blue and then I saw the box art and it got me wondering and found that the 71st were a Light Company and they had green caps.

Keith

Lovely Geoff! I do love the pipe. (y)

Ken

Thanks Keith, I certainly am pleased, infact I want to try doing a painting of him. I have thinking of having a go for some time and think he will be a good subject.

Thanks Ken, as an ex-pipe smoker of many years, I know how pipes react around the open bowl.
