This is the first finished figure in 2016.
As always completely painted with oils.
Every comment is welcome.

Yes Marc that is often a problem on metal figures as visors tend to be cast onto the head. There is the old trick of painting a figure upside down, but that doesn't always help.
One thing I do is to paint the visor matt black which helps to clarify where I should be going with it. I hope this helps.

In fact I will say, things like that have put me off getting a figure as I knew I wouldn't be able to do the figure to my satisfaction for that reason, especially in 54mm.

A good figure and I can tell you enjoyed doing it.

Hi Marc,
Great to see another version of this figure other than the box art. I purchased this piece late last year, so it's a project later on. I love the uniform and the general look of it so I'm really looking forward to having a crack at it. I'll be using acrylics on this chap, pretty happy with how they turn out. What did you use Marc to glue the metal together as I've only ever done resin or plastic previously?
Regards
Chris.

Ok Marc thanks, I'll send you that part if you could be so kind to it for me .

That wouldn't help.
Now i 've done this figure I recommend that you first paint the figure including the back. Then you glue the pelisse to the figure starting with the part that is over the shoulder.
Then you drill a hole to the pelisse into the figure and glue a pin in this hole. To close the hole put some putty in it and let it dry.
When this is done, you glue the outher half of the pelisse side to side and drill another hole trough that part of the pelisse and figure. Same way for the putty.
Then paint the pelisse.
It's in my humble opinion the only way to get it glued and secured on the right place.
