Hi guys,

Sorry...another nooby question!

But i'm going to be using car primer on a white metal model...was just concerned of how I can dispose of the primer because the tin says not to put any down the drain??

I guess i'll only be using a tiny bit though!?

And how do I remove the primer from brushes if I cant wash it down the sink?

Sorry again if these questions sound as stupid as I think they will! :(

You need to get a glass jar with a lid and mineral spirits to clean your brushes. Fill about 1/4 to half full and swish your brushes until clean.

As far as the paint that is left over goes don't pour it down the drain!!!!!!! All trash and garbage services will not take liquid paint. So if you are not going to use what is left over then set the container outside in the sun and let is dry in the container you are using. Then you can throw it our with the trash.

We all want to be green in our hobby so thumbs up for asking what to do.

As for getting rid of liquid paint and mineral spirits the local municipalities usually have a collection day where you can take it in to be properly dispossed. Check their website to see if they list the dates.

Hope this helps
Todd
