My guess is he doesn’t want to pay full retail on a still available figure. “at a reasonable price” is usually code for that.

In my opinion, if it's available in the retail market, and you want it, then the retail price is reasonable.
But if you want to hang about in the hope that someone will offer it cheap, you may be hanging about for a good while.
However, that's the seeker's choice.
Just my 'two penneth'.
