Great paintwork Maurizio. I'd say it stands a good chance to be selected for the box art.

I am very curious about how you painted the bronze... would you mind sharing your recipe?

Cheers,
Adrian

hello Adrian
the helmet was painted with oil colors
I used a mixture of gold, brown dick van, burnt sienna.
dry well with the colors, I shaded with a diluted mixture of brown and burnt sienna
the lights were made printing ink gold.
When all is well dried, I laid out a medium gloss over the whole helmet

What a great paint work. I especially like the face and the vivid colours.
The bust itself is complete mystic fantasy, not a single detail (except the fact that there were male adults within the celtic culture) is celtic.

I tried to make the bust a little more experienced.
I added hair (not very photogenic, I assure you that live is best) cuts, veins and dirt on the skin.
In the mantle I tried to create a sort of similar texture to a fabric worn the helmet and I have grown old by adding a few dents.

Since this is my first bust, I may have gone too far, but nothing ventured .... ......
However I still have not finished :(
