Great to see so many of you at the weekend, some great friends/

Very nice sculpted, but who paintes the figure should omit the "Moscow 1812" on the shield, because the guard marched there in full order and with faultless uniforms! It was the only unit that had not been in action since the French invasion of Russia and had had good quarters in the city itself. "Russia 1812" would be better.

A great figure by Carl as always; going on my list. Carl's figure clearly depicts a grognard during the retreat, but I'm not sure about the tattered color; I should think the color would be cased to protect it during both the march to Moscow and retreat, but I may be wrong. The tattered color certainly adds to the drama of the scene.
