WIP Critique CGS 17th Lancer Trumpeter wip

Hi all!
Still alive and working on some commissions at the moment....

This is CGSs lovely Mozz sculpt of a 17th Lancer trumpeter...

Still a fair bit to do but the back of it is broken now.

All in Vallejo and Citadel acrylics and the metals are all NMM.

Update when he's finished

I will need to break out the matt varnish too!!!

Glad to see you are still around. The trumpeter looks great you are doing a superb job. Will be having a look at this figure on Gra stand at the upcoming Euro.

Many thanks one and all for the encouraging words!
Yes I'll be lurking about Euro and Stormtroopers stand
I think I might enter this into the comp :/
And yes the trumpet and bugle are NMM....

Base was Brown leather, Orange and a dot of Bleached Bone...
To shade it I added Black and to lighten more Bleached bone.
Highlight of Bleached bone and a final highlight of White.
I ran a very dark mix into shadow areas.

For the brass bits it was old faithfull...

Base Burnt Umber, mid Yellow Ochre and highlight White.
