Gra, this rates as a 'Phwoar'

Fantastic sculpt Carl
Normally I joke with you to the effect you've got fed up at the waist level again
and not bothered with the legs !

However if you put legs on this one, he could not be alone.

As it is it's a stonker of a great bust
Well done to you both.

Yet another superb addition to the CGS stable via Mr Reid. Really is a dynamic piece, that tells of the fury of battle in the pose. Choice of heads plus white metal bits, lifts it to another level.

Was great to meet up again Gra, another day to remember mate.

I think that's the general consensus but I'd feel temped by the corded shako version. Then again why not one of each, the covered shako version really grimed up with sweat, bloodstains etc & t'other in a classic form.

I think you’re right, Kagemusha. Covers would probably have been worn as the weather was appalling at Waterloo, perhaps linked to the ejection of huge amounts of ash and sulphur dioxide from Mount Tambora in Indonesia, which had exploded in April with four times the energy of the more famous Krakatoa. The mud on the field of Waterloo was certainly a factor which hindered the movement of cavalry and artillery and can’t have been welcomed by the poor bloody infantry on Allied and French sides either.

This video explains the weather on the day.
Lovely piece.(y)

Thank you all for such a great response. Ron is correct, as far as I know, the shako most probably was covered.
That said, if mine, I would go uncovered :) ( only as it looks nice) so hence the 2 head option. Either way I thank you all for your support on this range and of course Carl. CR06 will be out very soon and the Scots Grey just before Christmas. There is one other extra piece that will make the waterloo set of 7, then I think time to bring life to some other eras :)

Hi Grac,

This is a real Masterpiece, superbly animated, superbly sculpted, superbly cast.
Great detail on the Brown Bess.;)
Naturally I bought this at Euro, it was a must have. It scored 10/10 on the Wow factor with me.

I think that both the Coldstreamer, and the Inniskilling Dragoon would look superb with legs. Both figures make excellent Busts, but the animation would be further enhanced as full figures. Superb work from Carl and Gra.
