Changing username

Is it at all possible to change my username, i only opted for sniper21 as this is a name i used for online gaming way back. I originally wanted 1969 as my username which is what i use on other forums but it was taken, is it possible to check if 1969 is available for use as i havent seen it appear on the forums.

i would be very gratefull if this was possible.
