Hi All,

This piece was just completed, based on Richard Caton Woodville's painting. Hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

Oh wow, another one of yours! I just love your work, very artistic and totally inspiring. Bravo!

Can you tell us a bit more about what you used in this? Are most figures scratchbuilt or converted?

I cannot even imagine how many hours of work went into this excellent creation.

Oda.

Dear Simon, Melanie, Merryweather and Ometz,

Thanks for you kind remarks. Just lucky with completing this piece. I got obssessed with doing a cavalry charge after seeing this ptg.

Dear Nigel, Ipa, Mobo and Gary,

thanks for looking in. Figs are a mix of scratchbuilt n conversions from all makes. Ive always enjoyed using historex but this time, used more airfix horse parts. Also some scalelink heads. The front horse was about 1/30 and there are diminutive HO figs in the bkgd. I even raided my old wargames figs and used some hinchcliffe and jacklex figures.

Hinchliffe and Jacklex? Wow. There are blasts from my wargaming past.

It's really impressive how you took bits and pieces from so many places a created a coherent piece out of them, well done!

Victor, even more impressed with the forced perspective, it looks so natural it didn't really register before.

Cheers Simon

Hi Kevin, Nigel and Simon,

I was into wargaming then, the Featherstonian way. Then free kriegspiel. Then discovered the joys of true 1/32 figures thru airfix and Historex.
Those wargaming figs were just gathering dust. When I decided to explore shadowboxes, it made sense to make the most out of my figure collection.
