You are clearly a similar age to me then. I started wargaming when Don Featherstone and Charles Grant were the leading lights and then got into Historex figures and figure painting in the early 70s......I was into wargaming then, the Featherstonian way. Then free kriegspiel. Then discovered the joys of true 1/32 figures thru airfix and Historex.
Those wargaming figs were just gathering dust. When I decided to explore shadowboxes, it made sense to make the most out of my figure collection.
