Another faithful soldier from my Grey Army finally sees the light of day, and a little paint.

This older 200mm bust from Mitches Military Models was sculpted by Carl Reid, and fashioned after the classic Gericault painting of a Chasseur a Cheval.

I modified the pose of his right arm, and replaced the sword with a pistol.

Painted in oils and acrylics.

Always a pleasure to see your work .....great conversion , loving the lacework ...going to add that colour to my mix ....could you show all paint bottles used if poss ?

Like the uniform red as well

Thanks, Nap. Those kind words are most appreciated.

Here are the three colors that I used for all of the lace mixes on this fellow. As I indicated earlier, I’m pleased with the results of using the British Tankcrew Highlights color as my bright highlight, and will plan on using that one again. I’m my photos, I’m a bit surprised how close the lace is to the buttons and other metal parts, which were painted in Vallejo Bronze and then highlighted with bright gold printers ink. The green and reds are from those two Andrea Paint Sets.
