As always gentlemen, many thanks for your kind words.
Costas you are right, it did take a while, but was worth it. Anyway, top painters like Figure Mad can do one of these in about a week!
Pete, Roc, Chris cheers fellas!
Anyway Jay, I still am Blind Pew. I've actually missed a bit underneath the rider - you cant really see it though!
Marc, you'll be glad to know I listen to www.arrow.nl/when I paint, it really helps!

Anthony...regardless of scale or subject...my opinion is that this is your best piece to date. You done a great job on the conversion to an already beautiful figure, and that horse looks just stunning. I'm very much looking forward to taking a closer look on saturday...

All the best...Roy.

Hello fellas, I've been away from the computer for bit.
Jake, I paint entirely in artist's oils....I've never used acrylics..yet!

Dan, many thanks! The horse is painted in Payne's Grey, and is painted in a darker colour than I'd like it to end up. This is delieberate. This is because I know I will add the dappling at a later stage, so I'm not worried about this as the dappling will lighten the overall effect I'm trying to aim for...The trick is to make the dapplng random. For this I used, I think 3 old brushes that are way past being useful for anything else. For a reference I used an article in the French magazine Figurines. Really came in handy!

Kenneth, thankyou, such a compliment from an accomplished modeller such as yourself is great to hear!
