I like your idea for the framing, it makes it differ from the way busts normally is presented. And great paint job and choice of colours.
I'm amazed by the fact that you only use 5 colours :woot:

All I can say is that is one of the most impressive pieces I have seen on PF.Not only the painting but the composition with the framed painting behind it makes it all that more unique.I'm assuming that the bust is mounted on the painting.
There's not much more that could make that better other than the background sculpted in relief.......No need to say keep up the good work as I know you surely will.*(and all that with a five colour pallet).................Best regards.......Wayne

Really well done. I really like the frame with the background painting. What specific red, yellow, and blue are you using? You've achieved a nice range of colors with such a limited palette. Guess it goes to show we don't need a drawer full of paints!

Its difficult to find real primary Red, Bleu or Yellow in our paint stores..... as they are always added with some other colors.....
For exemple you can find in reds some orange, some blue...or purple....
Its the same with blue, you can find some blues that are warm purple, and some that are cold green.....
The same for yellows. Some are lemon, some are orange.....

So I found that in fact I needed 2 colors of each primary.
2 Yellows, 2 Reds and blues.

On the colors wheel every primary can go to 2 directions.
For exmple : Yellows can go to the red side if you add some orange, and can go to the blue side if you add some green.
Reds can go to the blue side if you add some purple, or to the yellow side if you add some orange.
Blues can go to the red side with some purple added, or to the yellow side with some green added......

So my 2 yellows are : Lemon Yellow (blue side) and Yellow Cad Deep (red side)
my 2 reds are : Red Cad Medium (Yellow side) and Magenta (blue side)
my 2 blues are : Ultramar (red side) and Prussian Blue (yellow side).

With that I can achieve any color I want.

If I mix Ultramar and Magenta that are close on the color wheel it gives me a wonderful purple.
But if I mix Prussian Blue and Red Cad Medium that are far away on the color wheel it gives me a dull purple almost grey.....

The same for the others :

Mixing Prussian Blue and Yellow Lemon (close) gives a rich green.
If I mix Ultrama and Yellow Cad Deep (far away) my green will be dull......

I did lots of practice.......

Yes the bust is mounted on the painting.
I did mount it before painting the background. So I had some difficulties to properly paint the background. But I did it :)
