Ok guys here we go. At last painting has started on this musician. The face is nearly finished. Also the trousers are in an advanced state but still have to go back to them for some retouches. I would appreciate any comments so fire away.

Stephen,

Very nice. (y) I like the way you have handled the flesh. I may have missed it but what medium do you paint in? I know our buddy is acrylics but I was not sure of yours. Either way what is the formula that you use for your flesh??

Joe

Joe , I have for the past year or so been painting in acrylics. Before that I was a hard to die oil painter but the switch was transitional. I still use some oils every now and then but only for special effects.

Guy I suppose that answres your question

Stephen (y)

Stephen,

Thanks. I know what you mean. I still paint the flesh in the oils, just can't give it up . :( Maybe one day I can sit down with one of you talented acrylic painters and do a little one on one and then I may switch.

Joe

Joe , sorry but yesterday I forgot to give you the mix for the flesh tone. On this one I used Sunny skintone (845) , vermillion (909) and english khaki( 921). These are all vallejo. I said on this one since I nearly always do some changes to the mix. I don't like the figures to look all alike !!
