John....Marc....Markus....Arthur........thanks guys for the feedback. This has been really enjoyable to paint and I look forward to painting the next flat from Roy (cleaning it now).
Guy, That looks very nice. One thing I wish my current camera had is a non-glare feature. The old one did and it made quite a difference in reducing the glare/reflection.~Gary
Guy - I knew you had this one, but missed the painting. This finished piece is AWESOME! I have always wanted to try a flat, but only possess one. And a difficult one at that. At least to start out with. You have done a great job on this.
the painting is great and it shows in a dramatic way the despreate situation of the Nez Perze. It shows that you paint this figurines with your heart, a breathtaking worke!
Guy, that looks good ! I would have chosen a similar framing, a grey-brown weathered wood is perfect for the subject.
Never painted a flat figure myself, seems to be a completely different approach to me, and I must say you did it well. I love the colours you used too, not too bright, but muted - just perfect.
GOOD JOB, Guy !!! Thanks for the SBS on the painting process,my friend, and I'll be looking forward to the next "flat" from your talented hands. Cheers !
Kenneth  .
(P.S. Thank you also for the prompt response to my PM to you on that "unusual" post from a new "member". I really appreciate it !)
A beautiful job Guy, from start to finish....I really like the colours and the frame..maybe when the new plaque arrives you could show a picture of it where it will be displayed...I'd love to see it..
Several members asked me to post Chief Joseph after I got the brass plaque and installed it. The Brass came in today and was epoxyied to a wooden block beneath it .
The outside frame is the color of old barn siding and several who have been to the house have said it was very appropriate.
All comments / critiques are welcome as always.
Thanks Roy...............I eagerly await your next flat.
