Hi Karl, thanks for the positive feed back. Good luck with the acrylics. I use them for 95% of my painting these days.Very nice, great use of colours.
I've just started to get a hand in the use of acrylics so I can appreciate the work gone into this especially at 54mm.
Lovely.
Karl.
Hi Derek,Thanks for the kind words.Nice to know you have been having a good look at the figure. When you say you keep seeing more detail each time you look at him,I know what you mean.Every time I would come back to do more painting on him, I would find little bits of detail I needed to paint. He certainly is a busy with detail, dont think I could paint every figure I do with all the detail, the eyes would go crazy.Lots of fun though in the end.Stunning work John.....every time I look at it I'm seeing more and more detail.....top class.
Cheers
Derek
Hi David, thanks for the kind words.Glad you like the brush work.I have been working on a soft style with the acrylics over the years and think I am getting there.I was always a oils man.Still use the oils for some things.Fantastic brushwork John lovely colours and tones.
Cheers David
Hi Mark, thanks for the kind words. Glad to hear you like the use of colour. With so much colour going on in this figure it is easy to over do it,so happy to hear you like the balance.Superb painting, John. The detail is stunning.
Beautiful use of colour, it really is a great piece.
Hi Ron, thanks for the kind words. The skin and the reds took awhile to get right,or what I was happy with. This looks super and a much larger scale ,great reds ,skin tones and super detail
