Hi All
Im looking to put a 200 mm figure on a base of cobble stones can any one point me in the right direction of an accessory supplier who has this size cobble stone that can be purchased off the shelf. Or is it a case of make your own.

I remember a few years back when Maurice Corry had his own site he used to make a few bases for this scale, But I am unable to find them now.

THanks
Mick

View attachment 197245. 140.jpg. Its generally @1/12th so they would be ideal for a 120mm, 200mm piece.

Mark

Well the Cobbles have arrived, not sure when as Ive been away for a week, but they look just the job. I think they will look more realistic than a resin sheet, and a lot less work than making them one by one.
Well done Mark great tip.

No silly jokes on this post Mark just sincere thanks for sharing

Ron, I think its purely an e-bay outlet! I can't find any other link other than via e-bay.:( However, they are usually prompt in getting stuff out.

Mark

Glad to be of help. As you say they are far more realistic being natural stone and slate. The very thought of making the cobbles one by one, would drive me 'Potty'.

mark,Paul Ron and any one else on the sideline.
Yes thats the site, they are situated in Sussex. They are doing Summer offers at the moment I was sent a leaflet but lost it while unpacking my suitcase and looking at the cobbles at the same time with OSWMBO attacking me ear about leaving the cobbles and modeling related jobs alone until I got in the house.

Yes Mick, it all looks great and the offers are all yellow box banners on the site, there's almost too much choice.

I can imagine someone running amok and doing a full courtyard.

I am a bit surprised the good lady didn't get on and have it built for you coming back mate.

Buying bits is a hobby, modelmaking is just tidying up the bits, they should really appreciate us more for that eh? :D

She was with me Spoilt rotten in Venice for 5 Days and I got ear ache over a few cobbles typical doris.

As I read that I thought woops, upset them both, (I had assumed you were away on buisiness or summat), then I read "typical Doris" and pmsl :)
So lovely trip and back to reality, life is good.
Have a good weekend pal

Hi Mark.
Hadn't given it to much thought, its in early planning stage at the moment as I have a fig on the production line at the moment which will take a week or so. But my first thoughts where to use UHU all purpose adhesive to glue the stones to the base, then mix up some Deluxe Perfect Plastic Putty with a little vallejo paint for the right colour and apply with the little orange needle thing from deluxe pin point syringe. and wipe off excess with a damp sponge.
If that fails think of something else.

Mick
