Mark. Yes thats the one. I use it for the smaller gaps having fixed ie Body to legs, or arms to body, as excess wipes off with a sponge or cotton bud, It will do bigger gaps but i find you have to do it in layers or it will crack when drying out.

This looks interesting chaps, I've never used it it but from the reviews, (thanks for the tip Mark), it's got interesting benefits.

I was planning to use aplain white ready to use grout from a a heavier bigger version of the same style tube, and once a skin developed, use weathering powder for a girtty and matt colour finish

Hmm! However, its the sanding bit! that strikes a cautious cord! Not without damaging the surface stone's and /or marking them.

Fortunately, I did get the 'Grout', as a fall-back as it is specific to the product'(s) Water, Brush, and sponge! Probably more messy, but even and smooth.:)

I was just looking at other options! As what I have in mind may well be my 'Swan-Song', on figure painting.

Iv'e got to pluck up the courage to post one of my figs, Having posted sods law you cant expect others to do all the work for you. So When I saw MMM Capt Mercer I thought I would give it a go, to do a work in progress.
I feel my work is nothing to write home about, but I have seen worse out on show at some of the smaller shows, but it gives me enjoyment and keeps me out of trouble and as long as Im happy thats all that matters, its a hobby not a living.

I'm glad you found a product in time for your project to continue.

Here's another maker--Hansa Systems USA. They sell scale building supplies, so that you can literally lay the bricks, just in scale.

Here's their catalog page for their cobblestone products: http://www.hansasystemsusa.com/products.htm#cobblestones

The other thing your question reminds me of, is the old-school technique of using lentils glued to the base, and then coated with plaster or thinned putty, to fill the gaps and build up the surface.

Prost!
