Hi all,

We are pleased to show you the colour artwork of the Confederate officer bust, Sculpted by Carl Reid and as usual painted masterly by Ernesto.

The bust is available from the store section from the website www.stormtrooperminiatures.co.uk , we have changed the website with a new store/shop with more pictures ,,stock control etc etc . Unfortunately it is also experiencing some problems with the basic website which is a global problem and so out of our control. Any problems just mail us [email protected]

Are the blue facings based on a period painting? Confederate cavalry facings and sashes were usually yellow. Just curious.

Hi Phil,

The blue facings were worn by Confederate Infantry officers. The yellow were Cavalry officers and red were Artillery officers.

No worries Phil!
He could be painted as any. The shell jacket was exactly the same (as I understand it) for any, just the different colour facings, red, yellow or blue denoted which element of the Confederacy the belonged to.

The Confederate officers always had a dandy appearance to them. More so than the Union i feel. Even though they wore similar uniforms.

Hi Carl, this is a fantastic bust.......i like so much the shell jacket but i love so much the face .......many character i mean...there is the possibility that in near future you ll realize one figure in 75 mm or 54 mm with the same face and hat????
