Perhaps you have already answered this question in another thread given that you have several painted figures displayed on the forum, but could you kindly provide the mixes you use for the red colour. I am particularly keen to know how you did the reds on this one.
I usually use the same receipt as base and in every new piece, I change a little bit the mixtures. But the main work is the next:
Base: Cavalry Brown + Napoleonic Green (just a bit)
Lights (add to the base color) Vermillion, Orange Red, Sunny Skintone
Shadows: Napoleonic green, chocolat brown and black
tones: Crimson, Violet Red, Green.... (it depends)
All colors from VMC except the Napoleonic green (from AC)
Alex, ... another stunning piece!... this did catch my eye, and interest as a possible buy! fantastic work,... another one of your pieces for my reference folder! ..
This is a really outstanding piece of work. Sometimes I think my figures are getting better and then I see something like this and think I should throw out the brushes and take up tiddlywinks instead Could I ask what mix you use for the white straps and belts? Many thanks.
Outstanding work Alex, just superb. Got this figure at Euro and was worried about painting, now I have the perfect subject to base it on.
A wonderful work from both yourself and Stuart at Stormtroopers, well done to you both!
