Hi Paul,
Very well done(y) , what pity your client did not ever get the chance to own this as it's a cracking piece of work. I never even got into our comp. room as I was on duty elsewhere, looks like I missed out.
cheers
Richie

This is a really nice piece of work. Thanks for the flag painting tutorial. I'm not sure if it's the pictures but are the trousers grey? It's just the Guards wore dark blue trousers once they got to the Crimea (there is photographic evidence of the Coldstream wearing white trousers during the summer at Varna before they finally got to the Crimea).

Anyway, grey or blue, a superbly painted piece.

Pete

Hi Pete, yep the trousers are grey. they did wear blue trousers, but my info is not for campaigns, grey for winter, white for summer, this is the info i got straight from the horses mouth, I.E the guy i did the commission for, I dont think it matters much anyway, during the Napoleonic campaigns most of the troops wore just what they could find the army of today hasnt changed that much with regard to uniform on active service :(.

Glad you liked it anyway :)

Great work Steve, I painted this one myself many years ago, looking at well this has come out I think I may well have to re-visit mine!(y)
