Dear firends,
I am proud to preset the work of a “come back” modeller that he is very promising and I am very lucky that he is my student in the seminars and one of the best in the modelling course!
So this is a vignette that was made by Vaggelis Simou during the modelling course (workshop) at Real Models shop in Athens, Greece. This is the Vaggelis' first attempt in figures and vignettes following the guidelines from the well know modelers: Stelios Demiras, Nikos Planoudis & Grigoris Marmatakis. Vaggelis came back into the hobby after 15 years!
The figure is from the Alpine Miniatures and the scenery from YS Masterpieces, both in 1/35 scale.
The painting and weathering techniques that have been used were explained in every detailed during the workshop so the finished vignette is a very realistic model.
We can see the chipping and weathering effect on the pipes's surface.
For the scenery painting Mig Pigments, Filters and Oils have been used.
For the figure painting have been used the Andrea Flesh Paint Set and the Andrea Field Grey Set.
The bricks and the debris came from Royal Models company.
I hope that this will encourage other people also that they were out of the hobby for a long time and came back to continue with new and fresh ideas and with more love for the hobby. Let's make some of our figures that we have on the shelves and transfer our positive energy to the people near to us!
