Have a look on the 1/16 range, and what is coming soon....

A great way of getting into 1/16 scale mounted figures. It's a shame that there is only the one horse for the four mounted figures produced so far.

That's one for me in 2014 , it will make a nice conversion into an AWI Continental Trooper , at Mini Art prices you can't go wrong even if you do make a hash of it .
Nice one

I've never tried of of these but the two Trumpeters are very tempting-I assume they are sculpted in Russia judging by the number of new Russian subjects?

Keith

Keith. Yes they are a Russian company who also do decent 1/35 injection plastic figs for the AFV crowd.

One of the lads at our model club who flirts with figures alongside his main model aircraft interest paints these big 1/16 Miniart figs and truth be told, they are not bad at all. Imagine, say, the old Verlinden 120mm range of mounted figs made in injection plastic rather than resin and that's a reasonable comparison IMHO. A bit 'static' in some respects but more than acceptable.

The last one he brought along was a mounted Nap French Dragoon and initially, I thought it was a Verlinden piece until he said it was a Miniart fig.

For about £20.00, what have you got to loose by giving one of them a go?
