Hi Roger.......where it says posts 3624, I assume that's the number of flats you've painted!?

Seriously mate another nice piece of painting.........hoping to see some of these at Leeds one of these days!

Nicely done, Roger! Now, you need a backdrop for them, maybe an alley of chestnut trees, for a Sunday afternoon walk ;)

Thank you for all the kind comments.

Brad, the breeches were basecoated with Citadel "Red Gore" (That's what it says on the pot).
For the shadows I added touches of dark green to Red Gore, layered onto the base gradually getting darker for the deepest shadow.

Highlights were Base with a tiny drop of yellow added.

All blended together with thin coats of the base colour.

I should add at this point I gloss varnish my flats to give them that extra oomph.
