I'm not Mariano, but judging from some of his previous articles, most of the green parts are not Green Stuff (Duro), but resin copies he made. He apparently uses a resin with this green colour to cast usefull commercial pieces.

Mariano, please correct me if I'm wrong! :lol:

Actually, I think the green parts are a mixture of Duro and A&B.

Hello Bob! I think Mariano will have to give a concluding answer himself... His article about the "too late" diorama shows that he uses the A&B/Duro combination indeed, but his latest article in Soldatini about converting hores shows that he uses green resin castings of more detailed commercial items (from Andrea Iotti sculpts) for head, hooves and tail also... So maybe the we see both of these in the pictures? Anyway, the results are fabulous!

Mariano!Your work is excellent,and note that I'm a strict judge !!!Also note that I hate Napoleontic subjects!

I don't know weather Mariano has used resin or Duro,but I think that's not the point.We've seen a lot of pieces that were made from different clays.I haven't used Duro(can't find it in Greece...)but I can understand the difference between Magic Sculp and Milliput when I work with them.I've also heard that Duro is more elastic(when it's still soft)and so it's more suitable for hair sculpting etc.That's the idea!We use different types of clays because,when working with them,they appear different characteristics.



Congradulations again Mariano and I'll be waiting to see them painted and to see medieval subjects from your talented hands!

Actually Marijn you are probably right since I just finished reading the Soldatini article where he talks about using green resin parts. It "looks" just like Duro mixed with A&B from the pics here.
