Stunning works!!!Just finished this latest piece depicting a confederate infantryman which could be from any period between 1861 and 1865.
The bust is all cast in resin and is produced by Graham Scollick at CGS Military Figures
The piece was sculpted by Carl Reid
I added a pipe to the piece and a shirt cuff to the right arm,as the wrist looked to be a little long.
All in all a very enjoyable piece,I think this is my 10th ACW bust sculpted by Carl and I love the way he incorporates that rough gritty battle weariness into his pieces.
Completed in acrylics and finished in oils.
