Hi to you all,

After the first one I get hooked to this sculpting thing. This is my second attempt. Still a lot to learn but it starts to looks like a figure isn't it? :)
It is 1/35th scale, made with a Hornet head and hands.

Very nice! (y)

The biceps looks nice, don't forget the triceps though, they make up 2/3 of the upper arm! (many guys that hit the gym overlook the triceps when working out and can't figure out why their upper arms lack bulk)

This is great! I really like the idea that you conveyed that the worker is completely un-self-conscious. That's nicely done! I agree with Bert about the lunchbox. What would be nice would be to show the lunch box open, with a sandwich and a thermos bottle latched down inside. I would also be tempted to show a very thin line of shorts all round the top of the trousers. Tidie widies or boxers? Hmmmm.

All the best,
Dan

staffke , nice pose and nice idea, maybe you can put a toolbelt and a shirt next to him, after hard labour, time to enjoy the sun.

Hey man! You are very talented sculptor! The chain and the cross is fantastic in his neck. The scene with lunchbox is a very good idea.

Congrats to the second work! I would like to see more from your ideas.

Cheers,

Gij zij goe bezig ee.

Excellent sculpt so far. The left upper arm looks not so good. There is missing some muscles (triceps).
It is possible that this part is not finished.
I really like the cross and the belt. Giving something more to the figure.
The idea with the lunchbox is great.

Hello Staf,

It looks you did find your way to sculpting. It looks very promising! You haven't lost your eye for detail!!

No more diorama's?
There is a figure subforum on the twenot site now also;)

greets,
Robert Jan

Thank you all for the motivating words! They are highly appreciated. Gone make a lunch box soon. Thanks for the idea! I'll take a second look at the triceps too. Nice idea about the shorts but I'm not willing to lose the plumbers butt...

At Robert Jan: I do love diorama's a lot! New idea's are my biggest motivation to learn more about figure converting and scratch building. Figures are the most important media so I have to give myself some time to practice this fantastic figurine discipline.

Thanks again,
Staf Snyers
