Converting Officer Chasseur a Cheval to a trumpeter

Hi All,
I have the Verlinden 200mm Bust Chasseur a Cheval.
I'm wanting to paint him as a trumpeter,I love the pale blue & crimson of the uniform.
Do I need to add/remove any detail or can I just go ahead and paint.
