Looking good Pete, nice faded red on the right, what colours are they. I always fail at faded red.
Regards
Bob

Cheers Bob! Nothing too complicated for my redcoats really. I always start with a mix of Humbrol scarlet 60 and a dab of track colour 173 (a dark brown) to give a dull brick red tone. Highlights are just with Humbrol flesh 60, pushed a bit more to get the faded look. Regards Pete

Afternoon all,

Some slow but steady progress. Incidentally, does anyone know how to show photos as actual thumbnails rather than just a graphic of a document you have to click on to see?
Regards Pete.

The forum software creates thumbnails from uploaded images. This can't be done sometimes when the image or the aspect ratio is too big.
In this case the height of the image is about three times longer than the width which probably stopped the forum from creating the preview image.

Its getting there.. Interesting, how you work, doing bits of the jacket at a time.. Maybe I rush to much.. I would do the jacket all at the same time.. But I dont get the results your achieving..
Thanks Warren. I have a very short attention span but probably concentrate too much on each area sometimes! Once it starts to come together it's a good technique but it is hard to judge highlights and shadows sometimes when the whole area isn't being done at the same time. Still...it's how I roll! Regards Pete
