Hideliho Figureteers!

This may not seem figure related but I can assure you that it is. Im trying new things when making my signs for figures and wonder if any of you can help me learn how to reverse the text in a Word-document to make it look like the mirrorimage of the text? Or perhaps when printing it?

Hey Janne,

I think I have an article regarding making of nameplate for figure in my website. You may want to have a look. It may be of some use.

Go to the WIP page ( click on the lowest most shelf of my showcase) and click the making of nameplate link.

Unfortunately I used 'Photoshop' which allows the letters to be inversed. I am afraid in 'Word' there is no such feature. If you have access to photocopying machine, you can photostat the document onto a transparency. Using this transparency as the master, invert it and photostat another copy of transparency. the letters will be on the reverse side now. Hope this is of some help to you.

regards :)

Janne-

I use Power Point for this function myself rather than word. But, for either, you can go in to the Task bar. Call up the drawing task bar. Click on Draw. Find flip or rotate. Change those around for your words until they are mirror image.

You can do this most easily on word art, too on the drawing task bar.

With that said, it took me a while playing around 'til I got it right. Also, I found that earlier versions of pp are less easy to work thru.

I hope this helps. :)

I use Word97 for nameplates too, but the only way I can figure to mirror the letters is to use Word Art, and "flip horizontal" on the Drawing toolbar. Hope that helps.

Anton,
I too use Word97, but I click the "mirror image" option on my printer software (Epson). See if there's such a command on your print window.
