Very nice work, whats the plan for fixing the end of the bayonet

I might have to trim it off completely and drill whole to fit a self made bayonet or super glue and PVA over the joint to strengthen it, I’m open to suggestions!

Plasticard and a very steady hand I guess.. I am always amazed how the sculptors manage it in the first place, and then cast them..

Moving along with the base, the figure will need moving to the left to prevent (when re-attached) the bayonet from overhanging.

Hi Nap and thanks. The base is Floral Sponge, I borrowed it off my wife! The sides are coated in household emulsion as a primer.

Not seen emulsion used as primer ...do you use just on bases or anywhere else ie: figures ?

Haha yep she knows. I use it on bases as I always have some in or about the place somewhere. Not fussy on the colour as long as it’s light.
