I used the dry brush technique with acrylics.

Very nice work, Roc. The highlights are well done, but it looks like you have his right leg highlighted more than his left. Not sure if this is due to the lightin'.

Oils are real cool for drybrushin' with too.

I photographed this creature outside, I'm afraid the sunlight was a bit to bright.

Dry brushing in oils gives very good results, I just feel more comfortable with acrylics.

Cheers and keep those brushes wet.

Woah! Somebody needs a tic-tac! Fun piece Roc! Well done, the details on this one are what make it interesting. The bony spikes, the mouth, claws etc. Interesting.
