Completed crusader knight

When I first saw this bust I had to have it. I am normally a figure painter rather than busts but the charactor in this face and the attention to detail blew me away. I have recently seen this piece shown as King Richard l and a very good job he made of it too. I have painted mine "straight from the box" and as there is more than a passing resemblance to a certain Sean Connery I decided to capitalise on this and using photos of the great Scottish actor himself I tried my best to capture that "Connery" look. The fit of the pieces once the mould plugs have been removed is nothing short of excellent. From the start to the finish I really enjoyed painting this piece and I very much recommend it.
