Hi everyone,
needed a little break from my Roman consul so i started these two figures. Commander from Bestsoldiers, 75mm metal and Theoden of Rohan, 28mm plastic from Games workshop. Both are fun to paint. Maybe someone could give me some advice wich colour to use for the coat of the Commander. Thanks in advance.
Greetings, Stephan

If using oils, Prussian Blue over a suitable acrylic dark blue base - Shadows using Blue Black (W&N) and / or Black and Highlights with Titanium White (subtle) as very dark blue RN jackets appear almost black and don't have many "highlights" except for artistic licence.

Thanks a lot Nap, thanks a lot Gary. I use acrylics, i tried a little bit of Andreas blue paint set 2nd shadow as the base colour. As you said a very dark colour would be good so i think it will bbe alright. Thank you very much.
